• The Atlanta facility operates in compliance with all applicable health and safety regulations and follows rigorous environmental, health and safety protocols.

  • Sterigenics has a record of continuous improvement, voluntarily reducing its Atlanta facility emissions – including two significant programs in 2015 and in 2019.

  • Recent enhancements have created a state-of-the-art sterilization facility to further reduce EO emissions beyond already safe levels:

    1. Double Scrub Process: Routes the EO captured by the primary emissions control device through a new second emission control system to double scrub the air to achieve an even higher EO control rate.

    2. Negative Pressure System: Pulls all internal facility air into the emissions control system. With the facility under negative pressure, all EO in the air inside the facility from the sterilization process is captured and treated.

    3. Optimized Discharge Point: Seals off facility from the outside and creates central discharge point to further control the very small emissions that remain after careful treatment through the control systems.
